# SnapBack Quick Start Guide

### Welcome to SnapBack! This guide will help you get started with the clipboard manager and its security features.

1. First Launch & PIN Setup
   \
   • On first launch, you’ll be prompted to set a 4-digit PIN and a security question/answer.
   \
   • Enter your PIN and select a security question. This protects your clipboard history.
   \
   • If you cancel setup, the app will exit.

2. Logging In
   \
   • On subsequent launches, enter your PIN to access SnapBack.
   \
   • Forgot your PIN? Click "Forgot PIN" and answer your security question to reset it.

3. Main Features
   \
   Clipboard History
   \
   • SnapBack automatically tracks your clipboard history.
   \
   • View, search, and paginate through your clipboard items.
   \
   • Copy any item back to the clipboard by selecting it and clicking the copy button.
   \
   Search
   \
   • Use the search box to filter clipboard history.
   \
   • Clear the search to return to the full list.
   \
   Backup & Restore
   \
   • Backup: Save your clipboard history database to a .db file.
   \
   • Restore: Load a previous backup to recover your clipboard history.
   \
   Clear History
   \
   • Use the Clear History button to delete all clipboard records (confirmation required).

4. Admin Page
   \
   • Access the Admin page from the main menu.
   \
   • Theme: Toggle between Light and Dark modes. Your choice is saved for future sessions.
   \
   • Remove Security: Remove your PIN and security question (confirmation required).
   \
   • Database Maintenance: Run maintenance tasks to optimize the database.
   \
   • Help/About: Opens the SnapBack documentation online.

5. Error Handling
   \
   • Any errors or invalid actions will show a dialog with details.

6. Settings & Persistence
   \
   • All preferences (theme, PIN, security question/answer) are stored locally and persist between sessions.

7. Exiting the App
   \
   • You can exit SnapBack at any time. Your clipboard history and settings are saved automatically.
